Find Clearwater County Release Dates

A Clearwater County projected release date depends on who holds the person and why. A pretrial jail detainee may have no set date because release turns on bond, a court order, and unresolved holds. A sentenced state prisoner has official sentence and parole labels, but those dates serve different purposes and can change. A sound release date lookup starts with the county jail and court for local custody or the state corrections offender search for an IDOC commitment, then confirms the expected date with the responsible office.

Clearwater Projected Versus Actual Release

A projected date is a calculated or conditional point in the future. An actual release is a completed custody movement. Clearwater County Jail may hold a person before trial, during a short county sentence, or until transfer. Pretrial custody has no automatic sentence-end date. Bond, dismissal, an own-recognizance order, a later hearing, or another agency hold can change the path.

IDOC cases use sentence and parole data. A Sentence Satisfaction Date is the scheduled endpoint of an active sentence. A Tentative Parole Date follows a Commission grant but remains conditional. Released to Supervision records a past placement in the community. None should be relabeled as the exact time a jail or prison door opened.

Scheduled is not actual: confirm a future date with the custodian, and confirm a completed release through the dated movement or status record.

Find Clearwater County Release Dates

Choose the custodian first. For Clearwater County Jail, call 208-476-8903 and use iCourt to identify the case order. For ICIO or another IDOC prison, use the Resident/Client Search. Last name needs at least two characters, while an IDOC number needs at least three digits.

  1. Identify the last verified facility and case type.
  2. For county custody, ask the jail for current status and review the court docket.
  3. For state custody, search IDOC and open the matched detail record.
  4. Write down each label exactly, including PED, Tentative Parole Date, Released to Supervision, and Sentence Satisfaction Date.
  5. Check Commission decisions if parole is involved.
  6. Request Sentencing Records when the public display does not resolve the calculation.
  7. Use VINE for notice, then verify the event with the custodian.

The Clearwater County release-record path also helps distinguish community release from transfer.

Idaho Sentence Date Rules

Idaho does not supply a universal 85-percent formula. Under Idaho Code §19-2513, a unified sentence has a fixed, determinate portion followed by an indeterminate portion. The fixed term is generally served before parole eligibility. The Parole Eligibility Date, or PED, is therefore the first possible consideration point, not a promised release.

Section 20-101A is a legacy good-time provision limited by offense and date conditions. Section 20-101D permits a narrow meritorious reduction after specified extraordinary conduct; it is not routine credit. IDOC and the sentencing court, not a generic calculator, control the official computation.

For a county sentence, the judgment, jail credit, and jail movement record are the relevant sources. Do not apply prison labels to a pretrial county booking.

Why Clearwater Release Dates Change

A date may move because the legal authority, sentence calculation, or custody plan changes. A court release order can also coexist with a warrant or detainer. A detainer is another agency's request to hold or transfer the person.

FactorEffect
Court order or amended judgmentChanges the legal basis or sentence terms.
Jail or prison creditChanges the official calculation when allowed.
Parole decisionA grant can create a tentative date; denial or deferral removes that path.
Programs and release planUnfinished conditions can delay a tentative parole release.
Detainer or warrantMay cause transfer instead of community release.
Processing or corrected dataCan change a public display after the agency updates it.

Confirm Clearwater Release Dates

For an upcoming county-jail event, confirm with jail staff close to the expected date because new holds and court action matter. Request the existing movement record after departure when proof of the actual event is needed. For state custody, compare IDOC status with Sentencing Records and any Commission decision. Commission notices mark parole dates as tentative for a reason.

The VINE Inmate Check can send notice of a reported custody event. It is an alert, not certification. After an alert, return to the jail or IDOC record. A no-result or unchanged daily display cannot establish that a release did not occur.

Four Idaho Release Date Labels

Idaho exposes labels that generic release calculators often collapse. PED means earliest parole consideration after the fixed term. Tentative Parole Date is a conditional future date after Commission action. Released to Supervision is the most recent past placement under court or Commission supervision. Sentence Satisfaction Date is the scheduled endpoint of the active sentence.

A person can be in the community before sentence satisfaction, and a tentative parole grant can fail to become physical release. A discharged result is stronger evidence that IDOC jurisdiction ended. Keep each label tied to its source and date.

The official IDOC Sentencing Records page illustrates the formal route for sentence and history questions.

That office is the fallback when the public detail screen cannot settle how a date was calculated.

County Versus State Release Dates

A Clearwater County Jail booking can involve a pending charge rather than a sentence. In that setting, a calendar estimate is unsafe. The court may set or modify bond, dismiss a charge, enter judgment, award credit, or issue another order. Jail staff must still check for other cases and holds before the custody exit is complete. Ask for the court order and the later movement record as two distinct documents.

An ICIO commitment is different. IDOC calculates the state sentence and publishes selected status fields. The Commission controls parole decisions, while IDOC carries out release processing and supervision. A Commission grant creates a path, not proof that all programs, plans, documents, and detainers are cleared. When several sentences exist, let IDOC and the Commission calculate them rather than selecting the earliest date on the screen.

Transfers also matter. Leaving Clearwater County Jail for IDOC ends the local jail stay but begins or continues state custody. Leaving ICIO for another prison changes location without creating a community release. The destination field prevents both movements from being mislabeled.

Correct Clearwater Date Records

IDOC separates correction of its public display from formal retrieval of sentence records. The Resident/Client Search links a Request for Information route for a possible display error. Sentence calculations and historical records go through Sentencing Records or the JustFOIA public-record portal. Choose the route that matches the problem.

For a disputed Released to Supervision date or Sentence Satisfaction Date, save the exact public label and provide the judgment or other source that supports the correction. A formal records request is appropriate when the goal is to obtain existing sentence documents. A correction submission is appropriate when the public display itself appears inaccurate. Neither route should ask staff to create a new legal conclusion.

County errors go to the source county office. A Sheriff movement entry is addressed with the Sheriff, while an abbreviated court event is resolved through the clerk where the case was filed. This custodian-by-custodian approach makes the final date easier to audit.

Clearwater Parole Date Decisions

The Idaho Commission of Pardons and Parole publishes weekly hearing schedules and Notices of Action Taken. Search the decision material by the person's name or IDOC number. The notice may show a grant with a tentative parole date, a denial, a deferral, or reconsideration. Always preserve the action wording.

Under Idaho Code §20-223, parole is discretionary. Eligibility does not create a right to release, and the Commission FAQ says the PED is the earliest possible consideration after the determinate term. A grant may still depend on programs, an approved release plan, institutional paperwork, and resolution of detainers. That is why the Commission marks its prospective date tentative.

When the status later becomes In community, compare the Released to Supervision field and supervising district. When the result becomes Discharged [date], IDOC jurisdiction has ended more directly. Neither a hearing schedule nor a decision notice should be substituted for that later status evidence.

Clearwater Court Date Fallback

Idaho Smart Search accepts a case or record number or a party name. The register of actions can show charges, bond, dispositions, hearings, and financial entries. Older case numbers may require omission of leading zeros after the case type and year. Portal text is an index, not always the complete order.

For the actual bond, sentencing, dismissal, or amended order, contact the Clearwater County clerk at 150 Michigan Avenue, Room 201, PO Box 586, Orofino, ID 83544, telephone 208-476-5615. Court staff can provide records and procedural information but not legal advice. Pair that document with the jail or IDOC movement record to distinguish authority from completed release.

A court date is not itself a release date. A hearing may end without a release order, and a signed order may still be followed by hold checks and jail processing. Ask the clerk for the actual filed order, then ask the custodian for the completed movement. If the Sheriff record says transfer, follow the receiving agency rather than treating the order as proof of community release.

For a sealed or shielded case, a public Portal search may return no visible event. That negative finding does not create a release date. Request only records available under the governing court rule and rely on the responsible custody agency for its releasable movement data.

Federal Release Date Boundaries

A federal case requires a separate date source. The BOP Inmate Locator covers federal inmates from 1982 forward and may display a release date and location or a released status. A future BOP date is projected and can change after sentence recalculation. A past date establishes the displayed BOP event, not freedom from state, immigration, or community supervision.

USMS has no comparable public historical-release locator. For a federal pretrial person who leaves a local contract jail, use the federal court order and USMS custody confirmation. Check BOP only if BOP custody later existed. ICE's locator has a different scope and cannot be used as a general federal sentence calculator.

These boundaries matter in Clearwater County because a county roster exit may be a transfer to another sovereign. The Sheriff movement destination should identify where the search continues. Do not apply IDOC sentence labels or Commission parole dates to a federal case.
